À propos

For Kate Weisberg, a canvas is a wild terrain to sculpt. Using custom palette knives and lush oils, she builds luminous, semi-abstract landscapes that capture the raw pulse of the wild through pure color, light, and tectonic impasto.

Born in the Bay Area, Weisberg trained at the Academy of Art in San Francisco before spending decades in Silicon Valley developing foundational graphics software for Apple, Adobe, and NASA. Today, she channels that deep structural literacy into visceral, tactile art from her studio in Sandpoint, Idaho, working en plein air amid rugged lakes and mountain valleys.

Weisberg leans into emotional perception over photographic replication. "By abstracting the subject, the work transforms into a study of pure color, shape, and heavy knife-carved texture," she says. An internationally recognized painter and Signature Member of Artists for Conservation, her ongoing Land Escapes series chronicles the earth's sacred cycles of resilience and rebirth.
