Im a Derry girl, born in 1964 the oldest of 5 sisters and 2 brothers
I started to write poetry seriously when I joined Galling women’s group as an administrator in their office, I started doing courses with a local play write and actress Irene me laugh (me das suit, flick, and the Derry divorcees support group .After telling her about my writing and after reading it, Irene put me in contact with a writers group that was bringing work from both sides of our community together facilitated by Jeannette Wark and local writer Debbie Caulfield. They published a book called Decades, and I was thrilled to have three pieces of my work entered, ive have had work put into anthologies all over even in America, ive more recently won a place in a book by spotlight poets who published 13 of my poems, in a book with 11 other writers of which im so very proud
