My sculptures are often produced in series, with several series worked-upon concurrently. Each series focuses upon different metaphorical constructs which are my understanding of different aspects of life. I am interested in exploring the intersections of material and form, and in discovering what can be expressed through the dialogs that develop from those juxtapositions. I feel that each series or each type of work allows me to express varied and diverse understandings of the human condition. The more abstracted works tend to reveal suggestions of character, while the more obviously representational series allow me expression of more visceral and often humorous views of life-experience.
