I am the founder and president of Din Al-Fitrah Religious Leadership Alliance Community Outreach Service, a nonprofit 501©(3) organization established in 1998. Formerly a group service worker, I have served as a religious leader since the 1970s and have been blessed in marriage since 1978. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago, specializing in Photography and Photojournalism. My teacher would often say, “Keep keeping on.” Retrospectively, he was an embodiment of inspiration to all his students—those who shared his work ethic and love for photography.

My visual testimony is the legacy of writing with light. It is a reflection rooted in the belief that the scholar’s pen is more precious than the blood of the martyr.
