digital Paintings
When I started working on computers, I developed a fascination with programming codes. These long lists of codes somehow translated to me as a formal language that interested me. Even though I'm not really technically oriented, I found that I could understand these codes very quickly and very easily. Of course I had to do something with this. Ultimately this led to my first digital works of art.
Later, as the Internet emerged and computers became faster, the production and transmission of complex digital images became possible, and I immediately realized the enormous possibilities this offered for my art. Not the artistic process itself, but the actual craft of producing, painting and drawing would change drastically. My art could be within the reach of many more people, and I would also be able to express a much larger part of my visual world. I found that fascinating: www.yvonnehakkert.com
