Internationally-collected artist Shakti Kroopkin was born on the south-side of Chicago in 1976 and is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Kroopkin trumpets hope at the intersections of urban and inartificial conditions. In her works, systemic disconnects sire sprightly abstractions, obstacles spawn optimistic protagonists and rigid lines birth shapes that soften perception.
