À propos
As an Iranian woman, dance has woven its way through the fabric of my life, serving as both sanctuary and voice in a society that stifles individual expression. My journey began in the shadows of Iran, where movement was both an act of defiance and a whisper of hope. Transitioning from covert sessions to stages across the United States, dance became my refuge, empowering me to defy societal norms through self-expression.
I persistently highlight the violation of women’s rights in Iran, despite skepticism from fellow Iranians. As an immigrant in the U.S., books have been a source of solace, expanding my understanding and fueling my passion for dance and advocacy. Now, through collaboration and teaching, I use dance to heal and foster societal dialogue, merging literature with the transformative power of movement
