Lisa earned her B.A. in Art & Literature from Unity College, including receiving the Dean's Award and Honorable Mention in the Humanities. This February, Lisa earned her M.F.A. in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Lisa lives in rural Maine with her husband and daughter, and currently is an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department at Unity College.
