Jan has been painting and teaching for over fifty years. She has worn many hats, nurses cap, wife, mother, artist, teacher, musician, volunteer, and grand mother. She has resided most of her adult life in Fremont, California where she fulfilled her dream of becoming an artist. She started her art career locally by taking drawing, color mixing and finally watercolor painting. She fell in love with the spotaineity of watercolor and finally opened her own studio where she continues to teach on a weekly schedule of teaching others her passion. Her teaching began locally also in the schools and progressed to Yosemite national Park, the La Romita School of Art in Italy, the Dordogne area of France, and finally, after finding an ad in an art magazines advertising for artists to teach aboard cruise ships, a career on the high seas teaching passengers to paint their "ports of Call". This book is a result of those travels. Enjoy
