Keith Wood was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire in 1948. He obtained his doctorate in biochemistry from University College, Cardiff in 1975. His career spanned academic medical research and drug development within the pharmaceutical industry.

Keith lives with his wife, Jan, in splendid cliff-top seclusion on the rugged North Cornwall coast.
