My work began as a fashion artist and I was part of the Abstract Expressionist Movement in San Francisco. I studied Japanese calligraphy and Chinese brush painting and applied these techniques to a classical western motif. I produced a series of integrated drawings which combine calligraphy, figure drawing and Chinese brush techniques in one setting.
