A collection of images taken during the Mount Surprise Centenary celebrations, July 2008.
"Mount Surprise where’s that?" you ask, as did I when told the news my partner had secured a job there as the new Frontier Services nurse.
Mount Surprise, Far North Queensland, Australia.
Location: Savannah Highway, North Queensland between Cairns and Broome.
Population: 65 (plus a few dogs, utes, frogs, toads, lizards, cattle and far too many snakes!)
Locals: Warm, welcoming and full of character.
Climate: Perfect in winter, a tad wet and sticky in summer!

À propos du créateur
Dean Gale
Woop Woop, Australia
DEAN GALE first picked up a camera when he was two years old, his father smiling, gently removed it from his mouth - he has been interested in photography ever since. He is neither an internationally acclaimed photographer nor writer and sadly does not have a string of best-selling books to his name. However, he did escape the rat race of Cosmopolitan Sydney and along with his partner Melissa and Banjo, their mad but beautiful Labrador, now lives in the Great Australian Outback.
