À propos du livre
After Dad died in late 2007, my brothers and I were left with the difficult task of sorting through the detritus of his legacy, as well as Mom's (as that task, like so may others, was ignored and left to gather dust) ... fifty-five years of accumulation, dust, denial, dismissal, negativity and neglect.
As the Herculean task of settling my parents' estate progressed, I became increasingly aware that an opportunity to review - and perhaps find peace with -
my own ghosts, impressions, memories, feelings and shadows that had gathered in and around me throughout my life as a result of my shifting relationship with these two extraordinary people was being irretrievably lost as many of the sites and signs I so strongly associate with them would soon be out of reach forever.
When the McLean house sold, I decided it was time to act and explore: or wait for later, perhaps less propitious moments.
For me, the choice was obvious.
