À propos du livre
The pictures inside this book originate from a two month journey through India. A journey which transported the photographer Claudia Ziegler to unfamiliar places. On her way she adapted unexpected perspectives attested by a distinct picture language.
The images were captured by a pinhole camera. As its exposure times exceed the ones of a modern type gadget by far, the act of taking pictures is a “statement by itself”. While waiting for the picture to be made you have an instant of deliberate consciousness, an instant of realizing what is around you. Time is handled differently in India, so you are obliged to adjust your rhythm and means of expression to it.
