A chance purchase of a beautifully woven old band led me to research its history and analyse its amazing variety of woven patterns.

After visiting Sweden to examine the wealth of woven treasures in various museums, I became particularly interested in Sámi weaving. I have analysed many of their beautiful bands to enable them to be appreciated by a wider audience.
