"Freedom Found Here" is the first published creative work for poet, Meghan McNamara, and artist, Katie Haseley Smith.

For Meghan, her freedom is poetry. An Albany, New York-based attorney and mother of two small boys, she recalls writing poetry as a child and returning to it as form of meditation as an adult. However, she never shared it with others. In 2018, Meghan formed a somewhat random artistic bond with her North Carolina-based cousin. Katie paints and Meghan captures the emotions with words. Sometimes the words come first, and Katie turns Meghan’s poetry into visual inspirations.

The experience of returning to and sharing their own creative voice led Meghan and Katie to establish Find Your Freedom, a platform for women to share their creative works, and invite other women to do the same. Find Your Freedom is more than a website. It is a movement of women inspiring women, experiencing the power of finding their own freedom, and sharing their creative works with others.
