À propos du livre
While taking photos for this book, I wanted to understand how my son, having autism, experiences distorted perceptions in his everyday life. A person with autism can sense things differently than others do, and this can affect how he makes sense of the whole world around him. Children with autism can often find the light brighter, the sounds louder, the smells stronger, the tastes more intense, and touches can be painful. Every child with autism perceives the world differently; every child is unique. By creating this photo journal, I have found some precious insight into into my son's view of the world.
