À propos du livre
Jutting out nearly 60 miles into the North Atlantic Ocean from the coast of New England is a magical arm-shaped spit of land known as Cape Cod, where every summer sun, sea, sand, and sightseers mix. Informally divided into four distinct regions known as the Upper, Mid, Lower, and Outer Cape, the entire landscape is annually transformed in a truly unique way from an off-season cluster of small sleepy hamlets, into a quirky summertime amalgam of history, art, people, color, action, and attitude.
Whether you prefer the solitude of the National Seashore's magnificent beaches or joining in at Provincetown's annual week-long block party known as Carnaval where voyeurs and celebrants alike are free to be who they are, expressed as they want, The Cape is a place so unique that a seemingly endless procession of visitors from around the world take part in the annual pilgrimage to experience the mystique for themselves.
As with every summer before on The Cape, the summer of 2010 held its own splendor, filled with beautiful light and visual surprises which I have done my best document in this book.
