Ann Morrow Morris was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 31,1939. She lived in Jena, Alabama . At age ten, she and her family moved to Eutaw, Alabama where she attended Eutaw Grammar School and Greene County High School. She married her high school sweetheart Joseph Sheldon Morris, Jr. They had three children: Joanne Morris Elliott, Joseph Sheldon Morris III, and James Patton Morris. "Mama Ann" is the name that she was given by her four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In her community she is known as "Mama Ann"and is like everyone's grandmother. Her experience with children, her love for teaching Sunday school, and her faithfulness to God inspired her to write this children's book about Noah's Ark.
