À propos

Practically born with a camera in his hand, Robbert Frank Hagens (1963) explores the world through a creative lens. He grew up in the 60s and 70s and discovered photography as a way of expressing what he saw, felt, experienced. He was barely ten when he discovered his father's Voigtländer, and photography as a piece of magic. You set your position, you pressed the button, something happened with light. A print of reality was a fact. His reality. That was what attracted Robbert the most about photography; he could capture his unique, personal view of the world. Through the eye of the camera you look differently at the world, he noticed, more consciously, more detailed, more focused. Photography became his passion, his camera an extension of his creativity.
