“Freewheelin’ – Motorcycle Journeys and Photographic Inspirations”, chronicles the lifelong passions of motorcycling and photography of Michael Farabaugh (nationally recognized photojournalist, activist, leader, motivator, adventurer, hall-of-fame motorcyclist, and visionary). Sadly, Michael passed away suddenly on March 21, 2017, before this book was completed. His wife Debby Farabaugh, along with all of the contributors to his book, have endeavored since his passing to finish Michael’s life narrative as he photographed the world from his distinctive view while traveling over 2 million miles on two wheels. His family and friends would like to present this work of his life to you in his honor. Michael’s brilliant mind and eye focused through the camera lens can never be replaced or replicated. Some of the motorcycles and landscapes he intended for this book have unfortunately not been included in this chronicle as only Michael knew of the vast inventory he compiled over 68 years of living the biker lifestyle. Likewise, some of the details of his photographs can never be retrieved, having been locked in the time capsule of his mind. Some photos are devoid of a story or caption as only Michael could expose what he saw through the lens. Perhaps this is his final gift to us, providing the chance for everyone to see things through our own lens, our own perspective, our own journey.
