After beginning my career as a photojournalist in 1978, I spent 33 years in the automotive industry but kept practicing the craft of photography along the way. I escaped Corporate America in 2007 to become a freelance photographer by starting The Main Event Imaging LLC, an outdoor event photography business specializing in motorsports and concerts. Natural History is my focus today with G. Russel Childress Nature Photography. Here I spend most of my time on location underwater, riding an ATV, in the air or on a 4X4 overland journey.
