This book is a collection of essays and photographs that use the author's sensibilities to portray the natural world of Izu-Japan, telling a story of the changing seasons. More specifically, this work features numerous photographs collected over five years of Izu's natural resources throughout each of the four seasons—including its renowned seas, mountains, forests, trees, flowers, fields, parks, nature trails, lakes, wetlands, grasslands, skies, clouds, and natural resources such as the UNESCO Geopark and a national park. The collection also includes essays that express the author's personal feelings about nature, gained through daily experiences in Izu. It is my hope that this collection will bring a sense of peace to readers, help them feel more optimistic, and increase their interest in the natural world.
