À propos du livre
This coffee-table book in English and in German presents the breadth of Khmer Classical Dance and Royal Ballet since the last three decades in Cambodia. A unique collection by the renown German photographer. His four previous photo books on Khmer art have been honored by the Cambodian King and Queen Mother in personal letters of thanks. The photographic quality is particularly evident here. There is also an introduction to the history of this unique art form. Finally, the book gives a hopeful outlook on the further development of this millennia-old, fascinating Khmer dance. A book that sets standards.
“This Dance is Sacred, we do it for the Glory of God”
-Arjay Stevens' second brand-new photo book, “From Classical to Contemporary Dance in Cambodia”, also with blurb, shows that this ancient dance form has undergone a parallel contemporary development.
