How do I describe Enduro Himalaya, the adventure in the sky? Difficult really, I should start by saying nothing can really prepare you for the total assault on your already heightened senses. Travelling in this magnificent region of India induces a euphoria rarely found. Or perhaps I should mention how we met so many kind, curious and generous people, or maybe the fact that we rode day after day on high Himalayan roads with an almost constant threat of serious injury or death.



How about the lack of oxygen at 17,000ft or the great friends made? The growing trust between rider and Enfield Bullet? And how could I forget the mountain scenery that would literally take from you, what little breath you had left?



I opened my dictionary at the word ‘adventure’ to see if that would help describe this amazing journey. Global Enduro do not use the word adventure lightly it seems... this is what the Collins Concise Dictionary has to say about the word adventure... ‘a bold, and usually risky undertaking; a hazardous action of uncertain outcome’



Yep, that’ll do.
