À propos du livre
Tastefully and professionally arranged, this publication displays BO'C's work across multiple studios over an eight-year period.
Brendan's work encompasses many different facets of contemporary and traditional Japanese-influenced tattoo, yet he openly acknowledges that he is an outsider to Irezumi and can only imitate with the highest respect and admiration for the true Japanese masters of the craft.
Often in his work, BO'C will seek to include elements and imagery which reflect his own world experience and mixed Australian heritage.
'CARVER' is a companion and supplementary work to 'BACKBONE', and can be enjoyed by the illiterate and those of us lacking the attention span to read the articles in their monthly subscription to Picture Magazine.

À propos du créateur
With a lifelong interest in art, music and science, Brendan O'Connor began his career as a tattooer in 2005 when he completed a traditional apprenticeship under Andrew Stephens and Swirly Sinatra in Meanjin - Brisbane, Australia. Since then, Brendan’s career has taken him to many diverse domestic and international locations, including Japan, Germany, New Zealand, and many parts of South-East Asia. His work encompasses many different facets of contemporary and traditional Japanese=style tattooing, which he accomplishes with grace and care. Despite this, Brendan openly acknowledges that he is an outsider to Irezumi and can merely imitate with the highest respect and admiration for the true Japanese masters of the craft. Often in his work, Brendan will seek to include elements and imagery which reflect his own world experience and mixed Australian heritage.
