À propos du livre
What do Summer Concerts in South Africa and Greece have in common with Rugby Tournaments? This is what burns me inside, the search for a visual union that words cannot express.
I want to show my attraction for the spectacle offered by the spectators of different events, the “theatricality” of life.
In my work, the participation and intrinsec theatricality of spectators, which brings down the "fourth wall" exixting between artists and the public, becomes my participation too, and puts me on the tightrope, the line that is the image of life and spirit. The tightrope is the thread that underlies the mass of spectators and unites us to the artists on stage. As photographers, if we can see this thread, we can show it by breaking through the fourth wall with our camera. So, we too are on the tightrope, and we must try not to fall.
I have assembled together many photos from different music or sport events to get a physical "fusion", to advocate the importance of real encounters as opposed to virtual ones.
I have assembled together many photos from different music or sport events to get a physical "fusion", to advocate the importance of real encounters as opposed to virtual "social networks", that are at the same time the result and the cause of "social distancing".
