Wayne Eastep, Documentary & Photographic Art

Producing documentary projects that focus on culture and ethnic diversity. This concentration created the award winning book Bedouin, an in-depth study of nomadic life in Saudi Arabia, a film for National Geographic Explorer on the King’s Camel race , a National Geographic Traveler feature story about Japanese culture in Kyoto Japan, “Treasures of the Sands” a Smithsonian feature about archeology in Saudi Arabia, The Soul of Kazakhstan, a book about the history and culture of Kazakhstan, Cuban r-Evolution v.2, an essay about Cuba’s transition from Fidel to Raul Castro, and a photo essay about the plight of Vietnamese “Boat People.”

These assignments draw on my strength as a visual problem solver and storyteller with extensive experience producing complex assignments worldwide (in more than 125 countries). Having respect for and curiosity about people's’ culture and social mores is the attitude I bring to every assignment.
