Vera Wildauer is co-founder of the Manzanita Writers’ Series—now in its tenth year. A writing program of the Hoffman Center for the Arts, the Series brings Northwest authors to the Oregon Coast for readings and workshops. She also co-founded the North Coast Squid, A Journal of Writing and Art. She has been a writer since fourth grade, although rarely ever pursued publication because that seemed like so much work, and would make writing itself a joyless pursuit. It was only because of her involvement with the Series that she even considered sharing it much beyond a close friend or two.
She lives in Manzanita, a village on the Oregon coast, with her husband, Mickey, a drummer in three local bands, and a cat that is rarely abandoned.
