À propos

Photography has been my passion for almost as long as I can remember.

In the early 90’s I discovered the works of the likes of Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts and Robert Mapplethorpe who’s works, whilst sometimes shocking created a sense of self-questioning of my own values, definitions and boundaries of art and obscenity.

In more recent times, it is the work of Swiss photographer Cyril Torrent who captured my interest with his exemplary studio lighting technique, combined with his attention to detail, that empowered me to start photographing the male nude.

What becomes apparent in my own approach to the male body as an art form, is the overall feeling of serenity and sensitivity as the pictures parade. Whether it’s the model’s or my own idea for a concept or an inspiration from a classic image, I’m only comfortable with the final picture when the balance of virility and sensitivity have been met.
