À propos

As a young collector in the mid-sixties I would search rolls of cents obtained from banks and stores in my area looking to key coins to fill my Whitman album. Later, I graduated to nickels and other silver issues. I never found much of anything but I was able to fill a few albums before all silver was removed from circulation. I lost interest in coins until after my graduation from pharmacy school and had some spare time and money to rekindle my desire. In 1995 is started my quest to assemble a complete 50-piece set of Classic U. S. Silver Commemorative Coins. It took me almost 4 years to complete and was dubbed "The Overland Trail Collection". It was pedigreed by PCGS as the #1 collection in their newly established registry. U.S Type Set soon followed. When selecting a gold dollar for the type set, I chose a 1851 Dahlonega issue. I was bitten by the gold bug and a complete 9-piece type set of Dahlonega Mint gold evolved. That was the way it started almost 20 years ago.
