À propos

Rachel Rodgers Hopper was born in rural New Jersey. She's spent the last three years at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design working towards her BFA in Photography. As a small child, Rachel grew up in a 19th Century home filled with furnishings of the same age. Because of this, she finds the past far more intriguing than the present, and pursues this interest through her work.

In addition to photographing national landmarks such as Gettysburg National Battlefield, Rachel has had the opportunity to work closely with the director of James Buchanan's Wheatland in Lancaster County. She's spent the last year and a half photographing in and around the estate in order to understand the lifestyle of the 15th President, as well as the time in which he lived.
