My travels related to my profession of architecture and urban design took me to many countries, mainly to the Far East. These were rewarding and eye-opening experiences that allowed me to get more familiar with a diverse set of cultures beyond the U.S. As a side benefit I have used these insights to include references to ancient and symbolic icons from these lands in my art work and writings.

I continue, through graphic design, art, and writing to explore new, creative paths. It has been a luxury to spend time these past few years, not on buildings, but on more visceral undertakings. For example, I have just completed a draft of a first novel (historical fiction) and am in the process of bringing it to a point suitable for publication.
