After graduating from law school, I practiced criminal law and veterans' disability benefits law for a little over a year before moving into a job with the Department of Homeland Security.

My interests are, as you might guess from looking at my book selection, photography and drawing.

rust. Minimalist photos of rusty objects, taken in junkyards around the area. I'm shooting for 100-120 pages (have about 76 at last count). Doesn't sound like a very broad subject area, but I think you'll be surprised at how various the results can be.

The Lord of the Rings is a lot of work, but is incredibly rewarding. It's a big commitment, so if that's too much, the movies do a great job of telling the essential parts of the story.
