Savanna Flakes, EdS., is currently a Technology Integration Specialist in Alexandria City Public Schools, she coaches administrators and teachers on effective education technology tools and resources to engage students and provide meaningful access to the core curriculum. Prior to this position, Savanna was an Inclusion and Literacy Specialist, she supported school communities in Inclusive Practices and building and maintaining effective Co-teaching teams.

Savanna has also served as a Professor in the American University School of Education and she presents internationally on topics such as Differentiation, Co-teaching, Universal Design for Learning, and Inclusion. Savanna has been featured as a Keynote speaker for the Office State Superintendent of Education for the District of Columbia and a panelist with Dan Habib for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Maryland. She has received numerous awards for her work in education. She believes "Education Matters."
