Kara is a Philadelphia native and growing artist who has always had a place in her heart for children's books. Jaro and Frog is her debut book. This folktale is Kara's creative twist explaining why giraffes have black tongues. The illustrations were done on 18"x24" paper. They are painted and cut paper collages that Kara photographed herself.
