The Institute for Strategic Leadership focuses on Executive Development and Organisational Transformation in Australasia, South East Asia, and Europe. The Institute's staff and associates combine a wide diversity of private and public sector experience from within Australasia and abroad as well as academic credentials enabling them to provide clients with flexible, tailored executive development solutions underpinned by credibility and reputation.

The Institute was foundered by Dr Geoff Lorigan in 1999. Over the last decade, over 1,500 top leaders have attended its Strategic Leadershp Programme at Millbrook (www.millbrook.co.nz); Leadership Programme for High Potentials at Nugget Point (www.nuggetpoint.co.nz); ISL |MBA; and various MasterClasses. Graduates include the Governor General of New Zealand, Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, Chief of Defence (NZ), Vice Chancellors of universities in Australia, and top business leaders from around the world.

The Institute's programmes help senior executives discover their leadership style and provide them with clarity around their impact on others and the skills to think strategically and lead change. This involves providing CEO's with a mix of practical frameworks, mentoring, and coaching.

Its educational processes are considered to be best practice and the content of its programmes underpinned by integrated research-informed business theory. The Institute does not however position itself as an academic research organisation, nor a training provider. It sits comfortably in an unspace.
