I have always been a reader, a writer, a teacher, and a student of various cultures. As the school librarian for private and public schools, as an educator for the United Nations Association, and as a regional chair for the US Fund for UNICEF, I have loved introducing students to the lives of other children around the world. Hopefully, readers will enjoy getting to know Suad, a persevering and courageous girl, as much as I have.
