Annika is passionate about the health and well being of children. Her platform is Creating Generation Healthy, and it starts with her 2-step plan, "ME", Move more- Eat real. Her goal is to educate children and inspire them to make lifelong exercise and healthy eating habits. To teach kids about healthy food, Annika started her own charity at age 15 called Little Sprouts Garden Gang. Through this program she partners with childcare facilities by providing them free vegetavle seeds so the daycare kids can plant gardens. She is currently partnered with 105 childcares in 21 states, with a goal of being in all 50 states by 2019. Her platform and love for serving others was fostered by her involvement in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization. The national platform of Miss America is The Children's Miracle Network. Proceeds from the sale of her books are donated to Creating Generation Health and Children's Miracle Network.
