À propos

Ray Fortner has lived in Northwestern Ontario for 45 years and considers the small city of Kenora his home town.

His love for the outdoors extends as far back as he can remember with activities such as hunting, fishing, canoeing and hiking dominating his leisure time. And in later years, photography was also included in the mix.

After retiring, Ray began to spend much more time looking through the viewfinder of his camera and has enjoyed many hours making images of the area where he lives as well as the prairies, foothills of the Rockies and more recently the north shore of Lake Superior.

He says "For me, every excursion has increased my awareness and appreciation of the natural things in our world and of the need to manage and conserve them for future generations."
