Position Summary:

We are looking for a Product Analyst who can jump in and make an impact quickly. The Product Analyst can expect to identify and size opportunities to prioritize features, define and monitor key performance metrics for the team, and set up and analyze A/B tests for new experimental features. The Product Analyst will work closely with a dynamic team whose responsibilities span a product ecosystem that includes web, mobile and desktop applications. We hope you'll join us!

Essential Functions:
  • Develop a deep understanding of Blurb’s products, our existing customer base, and future product opportunities
  • Develop reports and dashboards to provide visibility into product analytics and enable decision-making by clearly visualizing the strengths and weaknesses of our products
  • Partner with Blurb’s product teams to prioritize and answer the most important questions where analytics will have material impact
  • Exploring data to find actionable insights and make product recommendations through funnels, cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, regression models, and more
  • Synthesizing and communicating insights during the product development process
  • Work in a number of different database environments, retrieving, analyzing and aggregating information.
  • Empowering and guiding others to work effectively and efficiently with data are part of your role
  • Provide direction as a key stakeholder for the implementation of and enhancements to the analytics tools (Tealium, Google Analytics, etc.)

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with strong performance, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or other quantitative focus.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in data analysis role or equivalent; previous tech or consulting background a plus
  • Strong background in solving complex product challenges with insightful analysis and data storytelling
  • Passion for building new products and defining the metrics that inform product strategy and drive value for customers
  • Hands on experience managing Google Analytics or other web analytics tools and the ability to develop and present recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative data for an e-commerce or B2B website.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing, preferably using Optimizely or other testing tools required
  • Experience with Tableau

Skills:
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Excel and SQL constructing complex analyses and reports
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize based on business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and model data
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Is a master of execution. Understands a vision and drives to make it happen. Strategic thinking while executing with great attention to detail.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, success-driven team environment and confidence in working with strong, passionate personalities.
  • A high degree of analytical ability, critical judgment, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Must have a team-player mentality and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Other Skills Desired:
  • Knowledge of website technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of data mining and statistical concepts
