À propos du livre
The composition of a small city would appear fairly easy to accomplish. Large and complex cities have the power to mesmerize and lure by the thousands, but yet why would a small city find it rather complicated to establish places fundamental to our existence? What consequences fallow the omission of such crucial aspect to our natural desire of human connection? Many towns and small cities are being left to the mercy of developers, in hopes of constructing a better future for what it now seems like oceans of tract home dystopia. This is the case for the city of Arvin, where the continuous development of the city appears to be only for self profit of a company; with no regards as to whatever the consequences might be for the residents and future generations. Through the introduction of a recreational center as a place of leisure, promoting interaction and the well being, the small city of Arvin has the potential of re-inventing itself anew. It is here where such project aims to create a transformation, corresponding not only to the city itself, but consequently the minds of residents in hope for a better future and quality of life.
