À propos du livre
In 1970, Peruvian photographer, Fernando La Rosa took his camera to the Bajada de los baños, in the coastal area of Lima called Barranco. The resulting 15 photographs capture the Pacific's atmospheric chill of fog enveloping Barranco's romantic buildings, many of which no longer exist. The accompanying text was written by La Rosa in 2005 as he reflected on that day in 1970. Fernando La Rosa was a writer and photographer. He founded Secuencia foto-galeria in the 1970's in the San Isidro district of Lima, Peru. It was the first gallery in Latin America dedicated to photography. He studied with Minor White and Aaron Siskind, and exhibited the works of Siskind and Callahan at Secuencia. He curated, for Secuencia, the first solo exhibition in Lima of the Peruvian photographer, Martin Chambi.
