À propos du livre
The Rockies are such a famous mountain range we wanted to see them in depth. Our journey covered 2500 kilometers (over 1500 miles) starting in Canada from Edmonton, Alberta and ended in the USA at Salt Lake City, Utah. The mountain ranges we travelled through were enormous rising many thousands of feet from the prairies. There were sharp peaks, rounded peaks and high plateaus often covered in snow and glaciers. We saw bears, elk, moose, bison, bald and golden eagles in the lush forests. Competing with the mountain grandeur were the huge canyons, waterfalls and great rivers. The crowning highlight came in Yellowstone National Park with its canyons, hot springs and gushing geysers. This book attempts to show the highlights of the many national parks we visited, both of the scenery, the activities and wildlife.
