À propos du livre
This children’s summer holiday diary contains two pages for every day of the summer holidays, beautifully designed with prompts for those that need them and lots of lovely space for those who prefer to freestyle. Subtle wide lines keep writing neat without intruding upon drawings, and the different areas of the page allow for bite-size journalling suitable for the disjointed musings of the very young as well as those with more of a handle on the art of keeping a diary.
On the left there is a large picture frame just waiting to be filled with details of the day – who they met, what they saw, heard, made, ate, laughed at or loved doing that day, and plenty of space for a few words describing what the picture shows.
On the right, nice wide lines with a suggested theme for each day - lists, targets, descriptions and memories that will get even very tentative writers thinking, writing and appreciating all that they have done. This book is intended from the summer after Reception class upwards, although parents can always do the writing for younger children.
The pages rotate through a rainbow of pastel colours with a different background colour for each day of the week and a different type colour for each week of the holiday. The diary spans Saturday 22 July to Monday 4 September inclusive.
Kept from year to year, these books offer a lovely memory bank and insight into how your child has changed over the years, without the hassle of keeping up with a diary through the rest of the year. A perfect snapshot of the magical six weeks of summer.

A mum of two little ones with ten years' experience in book publishing and ten years in photography, the books I make now are all about memory-keeping. From school yearbooks and and photo albums with words (which you won't see in my bookstore - but email me for more info!) to sweet little summer holiday diaries which are a bit more one-size-fits-all and just too good not to share, I'm a lover of the paper, not the pdf. Get your kids practising their writing and drawing on some of my pages to contain their creativity in a neat little 5"x8" book that they will enjoy making their own and you (and they) will love looking back on for years to come.
