À propos du créateur
In 2007, for reasons that are now unclear, I set up my website www.theviewfromthenorth.org. Intended as a portfolio for my varied photographic interests, it evolved instead into a showcase for my urban exploration and industrial landscape photography. Ten years or so later, it's still going strong. I've also developed a spin off website www.mechanicallandscapes.com for my monochrome work. The past 5 years or so has seen me increasingly focus on interpreting and presenting my work in black and white, and it seemed like the next step would be to separate it from the predominantly colour, locations centric approach of theviewfromthenorth.org. I'm based in Lancashire in Great Britain, where the industrial landscape and the rural moorland blends seamlessly. I'm an engineer by profession, and take photographs of the northern industrial landscape where I live and work.
