À propos du livre
Growing in my maternal-grandmother's house, our dining table was a place where three generations gathered to celebrate the Catholic holidays that figure prominently among descendants of Italian-American immigrants. I felt a kinship with relatives I had never met when seeing photographs of them seated in the same chairs I'd sat in, eating so many of the recipes I enjoyed in my childhood. My grandmother, Madeline Rose Corso, and I, have collected these recipes to share with all of you. They come from a time when recipes were written on index cards in familiar shorthand. A time when relatives lived near, and dropped in often. A time without Pinterest, when no one called themselves a "foodie," and recipes were steeped in family tradition. We hope you enjoy them.
