À propos du livre
The book is about black and white images made by Ali Khataw while experiencing the holy site of Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is one of the four most important religious sites in Asia for devotees of Shiva. Built in the 5th century and later renovated by Malla kings, the site itself is said to have existed from the beginning of the millennium when a Shiva lingam was discovered here. The largest temple complex in Nepal, it stretches on both sides of the Bagmati River which is considered holy by Hindus. The main pagoda style temple has a gilded roof, four sides covered in silver, and wood carvings of the finest quality. (THE BOOK IS BEING SOLD AT THE COST OF PRINTING. THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY MARKUP OR PROFIT - BUYER IS URGED TO DONATE $50.00 TO A CHARITY OF THEIR CHOICE)

A camera is really an excuse to delve deeper into a place than we otherwise would. Looking for a good shot forces us to seek out the unique features and scenic beauty of a location, to explore further, and to interact with our surroundings. When you press the shutter release, you're making a personal connection to the place and its people. My lifelong passion is to strive for originality and excellence, which is a continuous effort!
