À propos du livre
40 years already, Place Flagey, the square. It’s never been far away, a square from which many shortcuts lead. A place that one easily deserts and a place where one eagerly comes back to. A square bordered by cobblestones melting in forgotten corners offering themselves to unusual objects, colourful shadows and vegetation. A geographer-photographer who has been dreaming for years of taking square pictures. And then a fashionable mother who offers an iPhone to her daughter. Street photography in square mode, in post-production mode, still in the street. Relentless daily sharing of impressions and moods on virtual walls. Old friends, fellow travellers, who look, like and share, who tweak the titles and invent their own little stories. And then friends who say they would prefer a real wall, to have some moments face to face, dream together. A neighbour not far from the square lending her walls to the pictures. Not that square, then, B’s photography.
