During the evening of June 3, 1980, a massive thunderstorm hovered over the town of Grand Island, Nebraska and produced seven erratic and unpredictable tornadoes of varying size, shape, and intensity in the area. Weathering the Storm tells the story of two Grand Island people who witnessed the storm, along with a history of storm chasing and tornado research throughout history.
